The Goa Electricity Department in association with Goa Engineering College conducted a detailed day-long technical workshop on Smart Metering at Goa Engineering College, Ponda, bringing together industry representatives, faculty members, engineering professionals, and engineering students from across the State. The workshopwas supported by State’s smart metering implementation agency, DigiSmart Networks Pvt. Ltd.,
The session focused on the functional aspects of Smart Meter technology and included a comprehensive live demonstration of meter operations and backend software systems. The interactive discussions reflected strong engagement from academia and industry on the role of digital metering in strengthening Goa’s power distribution infrastructure.
