CABO DE RAMA to CANAGUINIM trek

There are many more beautiful and exciting places in Goa to explore aside from waterfalls/rivers and wildlife Sanctuaries! So ban or no ban, off we went trekking on a not-so-rainy Sunday. The trek was maybe 10kms along the South Goa coast.

Dear Trekkers

Let’s explore some of South Goa's lesser known beaches, rugged plateaus, edgy cliffs and fresh water streams as we trek this coming Sunday, 16th of July 2023 from Cabo de Rama to Canaguinim. This trek involves walking along the mesmerizing coastline with captivating views and pristine beaches.

Event Fee: Rs. 1000/- per head (Does not include lunch )
Grade : moderate

Pick-up points: Special bus scheduled as follows
Panjim: Heera (Indian Oil) Petrol Pump near KTC stand at 07:00 am
Margao: KTC Bus stand 7:50 am & Mabai Hotel at 8:00 am

Dress Code
Wear comfortable light cotton trousers/pants/tracks; light full sleeve T-shirt if you want to avoid sun-tan; wear only sneakers/sports shoes for the trek

What to Carry
Packed Lunch, Good trekking shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen lotion (in winter especially) & sun cap, dark or camouflage clothing, water bottles (1-2 liters), chocolates, Electra, dry fruits backpack, To***co, salt, etc, to ward off leeches during monsoon, One set of dry clothes in case if you wish to change after trek.

Advisory
Consumption of alcohol, smoking, making noise and littering strictly prohibited.

Guidelines
Do not carry or consume narcotic drugs, ci******es or alcohol
Show respect to nature and fellow Trekkers and co-operate with each other
Follow “Leave No Trace” policy, never throw or leave anything en-route or at camp area
Collect all waste in the garbage bag & bring it back
Do not shout, spit around, sing or use transistors or music systems
Do not collect any souvenirs such as plants or animal parts
Never consume any medicine without prescription
Never hide any health related problems
Inform the group if you are allergic to anything, or if you are sleepwalker or have phobias
If lost, stay at the same spot and keep blowing the whistle at regular interval till the rescue party arrives
Make cat-holes/pit to attend to nature call and cover it back with soil/snow
Reach the destination well before dark
Be independent, carry your own backpack
