Goa ForGiving
Goa ForGiving initiated the Campal Creek Revival project in 2012. A God given Creek which everyone called a nullah had to be brought to the notice of the public, and that is exactly what we have been doing since 2012. Creating various awareness programmes like kayaking, bird watches, photowalks etc. We have continously been trying our best to get the people involved in restoring the Campal Creek to its prestine glory.
Today, the Campal Creek has become an inspiration to save all the waterbodies across Goa, which they too are in need of being saved.
This video shows the effort that we have put in over the years to create awareness for the public to join us in our fight to restore the Campal Creek.
Goa ForGiving in association with the VHAG (Voluntary HEalth Association of Goa) and NIMR (National Institute for Malaria Research organised a workshop in the St. Inez slum are to educate the rersidents on the importance of hygiene.
Residents of all ages, from young to the aged attended the workshop. These tresidents live right on the creek and face a lot of malaria issues. At the end of the workshop, we asked the children to drop in guppy fish (fish that feed on mosquito larve) into the Campal Creek.
We are thankful to Dr. Raj Vaidya of VHAG and Dr. Ashwani Kumar (NIMR) for being a part of this workshop!
