Vultures are apex scavengers and important indicators of ecosystem health. Their population decline has altered nutrient cycling and carcass disposal dynamics across many landscapes.
Ecological restoration interventions undertaken by Raah Foundation in Dindori Block aim to enhance habitat quality, biodiversity, and ecosystem functionality, thereby improving the suitability of the landscape for a wider range of faunal species, including vultures.

A gentle reminder that nature doesn’t need us to “celebrate” it for a day. It needs us to protect it every day.

Celebrating the culture, history, and spirit of Maharashtra—its past that shapes us, its present that grounds us, and its future that calls us forward.
The land we belong to, and the land that allows us to do the work we believe in.

A unique perspective emerges when philanthropy goes beyond giving and is closely connected to on-ground realities.
Sarika was recently invited as a panelist by Dasra to speak on the journey of philanthropy and social change. She brought a dual lens—both as a philanthropist and as the Founder of Raah Foundation—offering insights shaped by direct engagement with communities.
This intersection of roles enables a deeper understanding of how intent translates into impact, and how philanthropy can move beyond funding to enabling long-term, community-led change.
Grateful to be part of conversations that are shaping a more thoughtful and grounded approach to social impact.

This hill was barren. Now, 11,000 trees are learning how to be a forest.
🌿 At Kadicha Dongar and Dhakari (Hill) in Konkankhede village in Nashik, degraded community land that hadn’t held water or shade for years is being brought back to life — one native sapling at a time. Seeds sourced from local forests. Saplings raised by Adivasi families. A restoration that started before the first sapling was planted.
Year one result? The water in the well lasted longer. Insects returned. The soil started breathing again. This is what Capri Loans and Raah Foundation are building together — not a plantation, a regeneration.
