Get ready to pay more for flights from Bengaluru. The airport tariff regulator has allowed the company running the Kempegowda International Airport to hike user development fee on domestic and international tickets by 120% to ₹306 and ₹1,226, respectively. The money will be collected till August 15 to part-fund KIA’s ₹13,000-crore expansion plan, which includes construction of a new terminal, a second runway, access roads and a multi-modal transport hub by 2021.
Bengaluru is India’s third busiest airport after Delhi and Mumbai. 🤔
