Rajasthan Launches Statewide Water Conservation Campaign.

The Rajasthan government launched the ‘Vande Ganga Jal Sanrakshan Jan Abhiyan 2026’ to improve water storage capacity before the monsoon. The campaign focuses on desilting ponds, reviving traditional water bodies and building rainwater harvesting structures as Rajasthan faces severe groundwater depletion and declining reservoir levels.

Delhi Traffic Police Tests Cooling Helmets.

Amid severe heatwave conditions, Delhi Traffic Police launched a pilot project using solar-assisted cooling helmets and wearable cooling devices for personnel on outdoor duty. The helmets can reduce head temperature by up to 12°C, helping protect officers from heatstroke and dehydration at busy traffic intersections across Delhi-NCR.

Fuel prices rise again amid crude oil volatility.

Petrol and diesel prices were raised by nearly 90 paise per litre across India, marking the second hike within a week. The increase follows rising global crude oil prices linked to tensions in West Asia. Higher fuel costs are expected to add inflationary pressure and increase transportation expenses nationwide.
