Some of the most meaningful learning happens when children are busy exploring new ideas, building friendships, and having fun.
As part of the Whole School Transformation program, we recently conducted a summer workshop for 120 children from three underserved communities across Ghatkopar, Palghar, and Mulund in Maharashtra. The workshop turned the school break into an opportunity for learning and exploration.
Designed around play-based and experiential learning, the workshop blended foundational numeracy, teamwork, creativity, wellness, and life skills through hands-on activities. Each activity encouraged children to think critically, collaborate with peers, and apply learning in practical ways.
The result was far more than active participation. Children demonstrated greater confidence, stronger collaboration skills, improved self-expression, and a growing sense of independence. From start to finish, students approached each activity with curiosity, energy, and a willingness to learn.
The enthusiastic response from parents and community members reflected the impact of creating meaningful learning experiences beyond the classroom. When learning is engaging, relevant, and enjoyable, children are inspired to keep exploring every day.
The summer workshop is one of the many ways the Whole School Transformation program supports holistic learning. Alongside strengthening numeracy and English comprehension, it promotes student well-being, life skills, and meaningful learning experiences that help children thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

This World Environment Day, our students showed that sustainability is not just something we learn about, it is something we practice. 🌱
On June 5, students from the Energy Clubs under the Shell NXplorers program at Atal Tinkering Lab schools across Karnataka celebrated World Environment Day by leading initiatives that promoted environmental awareness and action.
At Dnyan Prabodhan Mandir School, Belagavi, students and teachers planted saplings, creating a greener campus and reaffirming their commitment to a sustainable future.
At Government High School, Rastapur, Yadgir, over 40 saplings were planted during a celebration inaugurated by Smt. Indira Badiger, DIET Nodal Officer. Students also led an awareness rally, encouraging the community to support environmental conservation.
Meanwhile, at The City Academy School, Gulbarga, students transformed learning into action through quiz competitions, skit performances, road rallies promoting paper bag usage, and community surveys on waste segregation.
What made the day truly special was the leadership demonstrated by the students. Through every sapling planted, every conversation started and every awareness initiative led, they showed that meaningful change begins with small, purposeful actions.
Our appreciation goes to the students, Atal Tinkering Lab coordinators, teachers, and mentors whose commitment continues to nurture a culture of environmental responsibility and action.
We also extend our sincere gratitude to Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog, and Shell India. Your continued support is enabling a generation that doesn't just talk about sustainability but actively builds it.

Bringing the promise of digital inclusion and future-ready skilling closer to communities across India.
Today, Hon'ble Minister of State with independent charge for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Shri Jayant Chaudhary, flagged off the expansion of Dell Technologies' global flagship Solar Community Hub initiative across Uttar Pradesh, Delhi-NCR, Karnataka, Telangana, and Maharashtra. The event was attended by Mr. Neeraj Arora, Chief Technology Officer, Dell Technologies India, and Mr. Prabhat Bhattacharya, Head of CSR & Community Impact - India & APJ, Dell Technologies. We were also honored to join representatives from the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) to mark this important milestone.
In partnership with Dell Technologies and the NSDC under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, we are helping bring solar-powered infrastructure, last-mile connectivity, AI-enabled learning, and industry-aligned skilling closer to underserved communities.
As one of India's pioneering models for last-mile digital inclusion, the Solar Community Hub initiative demonstrates the power of public-private partnerships in creating sustainable pathways to learning, employability, entrepreneurship, and participation in the digital economy.
Since its launch in India, the initiative has reached over 2.67 million beneficiaries across 18 districts in 14 states.
Together, we are creating pathways that enable more young people and communities to learn, grow, and participate in an increasingly digital world - bringing opportunity closer to where it is needed most.

What if a pen could do more than write? 🖊️
To mark World Environment Day, under the Road to School (RTS) Program, 249 students, parents, and community members across 8 locations in Bero, Jharkhand came together to create around 200 eco-friendly seed pens.
Guided by RTS – Social Development team members, participants learned how everyday materials such as paper, pen refills, and seeds can be transformed into sustainable alternatives. Once the ink runs out, these pens can be planted in the soil, giving them a second life as plants.
More importantly, the activity encouraged students to think differently about waste, consumption, and their role in protecting the environment. Through hands-on learning, they explored the importance of reducing plastic use, embracing eco-friendly alternatives, and understanding how small actions can contribute to a healthier planet.
By turning simple materials into sustainable alternatives, participants discovered how creativity and conscious choices can drive meaningful change. 🌍🌱
