P PF (Public Provident Fund)

1. PPF account is Long term Saving scheme (i.e. 15 years) Offered by the Indian Post office who willing to do long-term savings.

2. Minimum INR Rs.500/- and Maximum INR Rs.1,50,000/- in a financial year is the term and invest an amount that you can invest in the Indian post Office.

3. An Individual can open an account with INR Rs. 100/- but has to deposit minimum of INR Rs.500/-.

4. joint Account cannot be opened in a saving scheme.

5. Account can be opened by cash/cheque, the date of realization of cheque in Government account shall be the date of opening of account.
6. opening and also after opening of account can be transferred from one post office to another.

7. The account holder can open another account in the name of minors but subject to the maximum investment limit by adding balance in all accounts.

8. Maturity Period is 15 years but the same can be extended within one year of maturity for further 5 years and so on.

9. Premature closure is not allowed before 15 years.

10. Deposits qualify for deduction from income under section 80C of the IT act.

11 Interest is completely Tax-Free.

12. You can invest in the PPF at the age of 20 Years, as after 15 years your saving will be 1,80,000/-
that to percent Interest of 7.1% 1,45,000/- Resulting at the matured amount of 3,25,000/-.

13. again after 2 and 1/2 year investing resulting in an Increasing Matured amount of 8,24,000/-
