When Educators Make Space For Play and Passion, Students Develop Purpose These teachers made room for playful exploration and student passions in the classroom, helping their students to develop the purpose that drives them.

As part of a larger study on 'Connected Learning: Cities as vibrant learning spaces', CASER was associated with City as Lab, a four-month-long research project conducted by children from Class 6 to 9. Here is a short report on what the initiative is about and how it gives children an opportunity to discover their ability to reason, think critically, work collaboratively, and more importantly, understand their city as participative citizens. We have also tried to encapsulate how teachers, who are not familiar with project-based learning, too become comfortable using the pedagogy in their classrooms.

We are also in the process of creating a documentary film on "City as Lab: Every Child a Scientist" as a part of advocating for more innovative ways of using enquiry-based learning in classrooms, well going beyond the confines of the school...
