The unhurried Western Ghat.

There are places that don’t ask to be explained.
They ask to be arrived at.

In the Western Ghats, the land opens slowly —
a turn in the road, mist on the water, then stillness.
A lake held by hills. A sky that waits.

Mornings begin before language.
Pale blue becomes gold.
Mist lifts like breath.
The tents rest by the water, not interrupting the land.

Afternoons sharpen quietly.
Greens deepen. Shadows lengthen.
Time moves in small intervals — tea, walking, sitting, watching.

Dusk brings its own rhythm.
Birds cross the horizon.
Lamps glow, not to impress, but to guide.

At night, the campsite becomes a constellation.
Light held gently by darkness.
Silence stitched together by wind and water.

This was not about luxury.
It was about landscape, light, and restraint.
About letting the Western Ghats speak for themselves.
