In 2016, I received a call from I was in my third trimester, on bed rest.

I had worked so hard for that moment, yet I had to say no.

I remember sitting on my bed, near the window, crying.

I called my mother and told her how unfair it felt
the opportunity had finally come, and I couldn’t take it.

She said something I will never forget:
“One day, when you hold your child in your arms,
and you chase your dreams again, you won’t just be achieving success you’ll be inspiring your child. And that pride will be bigger than this moment.”

She told me to let it go.

If it was meant for me, it would return.

Today, I’m living that promise standing on a stage, doing what I love, with my son beside me, participating in my fun journey.
