According to the Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO), about one-third of the food produced worldwide is wasted annually while 870 million people remain hungry on a daily basis. This wastage costs the global economy USD 750 billion !

The sheer magnitude of the wastage and accrued losses make for alarming and shameful reading. What can Governments across the globe do to address this pressing problem?

While iPhone enthusiasts around the globe maybe celebrating, Indian consumers ought to be weary as even the most basic model of the iPhone 5C which possesses the hardware of the iPhone 5 in a plastic casing, will cost almost INR 40,000. This is inclusive of a two year contract with a telecom partner.

Apple products have always been priced 20% above their original price back in the USA. Do you believe it's pricing strategy in a major global market such as India is flawed? Google Doodle Pays Tribute to Workers on Labour Day!

Google salutes workers all over the world by dedicating a doodle to the workers on the ocassion of International Workers' Day, 2013, on Wednesday. Also known as Labour Day, May 1 is an annual holiday to celebrate the achievements of workers throughout the year. The doodle on the homepage shows Google's logo in the shape of building blocks with several men doing their jobs. The doodle features an IT professional on her computer, a gardener watering a tree, a painter giving the letter 'O' a paint job and a plumber fixing a leak around the letter 'E'. We can also see a helicopter hovering above the second 'G' and a satellite dish, indicative of modern-day communication, perched on the 'E'.
