The PRIDE India
She takes on many roles....
Meet Samira Maldar, a beneficiary of our Focused Rural Development Project. She shares what it truly means to balance the roles of a mother and a working woman.
As a Community Resource Person (CRP) for her Self-Help Group, Samira is more than a changemaker in her community; she is a mother building a stronger future for her children.
Every day, she supports her community while nurturing her family with the same care, confidence, and resilience that define her journey. Her deepest hope is that her children will grow up with greater opportunities, choices, and a life filled with possibilities she once could only dream of.
Through PRIDE Indiaโs projects, women like Samira are empowered with the skills, opportunities, and support systems needed to lead with confidence at home and in their communities, not only empowering themselves but also future generations.

In the tribal hamlet of Wagheri, fishing is more than an occupation; it is a tradition passed down through generations. For many years, families faced economic insecurity despite having abundant fish; they were limited to using old sarees as improvised nets.
Today, due to our livelihood initiative from Ideal Village Project, the distribution of specialised fishing nets to ๐ฒ๐ฌ ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฒ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฒ๐ has resulted in:
Daily Yield: 4โ5 kg of fish per fisherman
Market Value: Sold at โน200/kg
Monthly Income: ~โน12,000 in additional household revenue.
Reach: 60 families now have enhanced food and financial security
This initiative isnโt just about the numbers, but about efficiency, access to resources and knowledge, and fostering sustainable livelihoods. It not only enhanced food and financial security but also a sense of pride and self-reliance among the tribal community.
We have reached over 3k beneficiaries since last year through our Ideal Village Project, and we continue to help the community manage their time and resources effectively. Thereby making villages resilient like Wagheri.

Creativity blossomed in our ๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ต๐ผ๐ผ๐น ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ผ๐บ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป as children poured their imagination onto paper, producing vibrant and thoughtful artwork. From stunning scenes of nature and colourful animals to inspiring illustrations of their future ambitions, every drawing reflected the unique perspectives of our young learners.
This year, through our education and child development projects, we have reached ๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ญ๐ฒ.๐ณ๐ธ ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฒ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฒ๐, with an equal number of boys and girls across ๐บ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐ป ๐ต๐ฌ ๐๐ฐ๐ต๐ผ๐ผ๐น๐. We believe that nurturing creativity is just as important as nurturing education, because every child deserves the chance to dream, create, and shine.
