🚫⚽ Red Card to Child Labour

This World Day Against Child Labour, communities, children, local leaders, employers, and government departments came together across states to reaffirm one simple truth: every child deserves a childhood, not a workplace.

In Bhopal, CRY collaborated with the Labour Department to raise a symbolic red card against child labour as part of the ongoing ILO campaign.

In Pratapgarh, awareness activities were conducted with children and community members in collaboration with Gram Panchayats, while a bike rally and signature campaign at the district headquarters, organised with the Police Department, amplified the call to end child labour.

In Haryana, the campaign began in Gurugram through community engagement activities led by local leaders. Teams also visited factories to sensitise owners and workers on child labour laws, children’s rights, and the importance of education, while documenting cases requiring follow-up support and rehabilitation.

Together, let’s continue raising a red card to child labour and building a future where every child can learn, grow, and thrive.

A question asked by adolescent girls during a menstrual health session in Delhi led to a nationwide directive across India. 💫

The concern was simple: what happens when periods arrive during board exams?

For years, girls silently managed the stress of long examination hours without assured access to sanitary pads. But this time, their voices reached beyond the classroom.

Supported through CRY’s intervention, the issue was taken to the Ministry of Education, resulting in a nationwide advisory directing educational boards across India to ensure sanitary pad availability during board examinations.

Drop a ❤️ in the comments if you believe every girl deserves dignity, comfort, and confidence during exams.
