Commerce and Industry Ministry Anand Sharma today refuted reports that leading steel companies had called on the government to impose a ban on steel imports from China, South Korea and Japan, or to exclude steel from the purview of any special trade agreements with these countries.

Australian architects Nonda Katsalidis and Elenberg Fraser’s firm Fender Katsalidis has announced plans to rework its Australia 108 tower in Melbourne’s Southbank and has sought permission to revise the building’s proposed height by over 150 m, thus making it the tallest building in the Southern Hemisphere and the 18th tallest in the world when complete.
