The darkness of Shivaratri represents the unlit corners of our own consciousness.
And the vigil we keep is symbolic — it is the awakening from spiritual sleep.
When we chant “Om Namah Shivaya,” we are not calling out to a distant deity.
We are bowing to the divine Self within.
We are surrendering the restless mind into the vastness of inner stillness.
