I was watching Ford vs Ferrari once again yesterday. Everytime I watch the movie, it reminds me of the beauty of letting go. Planning things are great, yes, but it's only when you let go of the controls for a moment, is when you realise if you are meant to fly or not. Down at the race tracks, with the smell of burning rubber, roaring engines and the cheering crowd, your eyes are transfixed on the track ahead from the tiny window of the helmet. You know you have make music on the track with the car, or else someone else will.

PIT STOPS 🏁
In motorsports, a pit stop is a pause for refuelling, new tyres, repairs, mechanical adjustments, a driver change, as a penalty, or any combination of the above. The sense of urgency which exists at this particular place exists no where on the track. The racers momentum has to be kept in mind while one attends to the needs of the car. Dwell a second longer and you risk losing your position on the ranking board, breaking the momentum of the driver and undo hours and laps of strategic driving. I have always been fascinated with these pitstops. The screwing & drilling mashup of sounds that play like music as soon as the car rolls in the pit. The ground shakes as the other machines whizz past the stop, while you make sure that the next few laps are the best ones for your driver. The thrill is unparalleled.
