StrataGrid™ reinforced soil walls are specified where conventional mass concrete reaches its limits — weak ground, greater heights, constrained sites. Here’s how the two systems compare.

Two geocells can look identical.

Their long-term performance often isn't.

A geocell failure rarely appears when the product arrives on site. It usually shows up months later—when welds separate under load, wall thickness varies from specification, Environmental Stress Crack Resistance (ESCR) is inadequate, or technical support is unavailable when the project needs it most.

So before specifying a geocell system, ask for the data.

Key geocell performance parameters to verify:
✔ ESCR (Environmental Stress Crack Resistance)
✔ Seam/Weld Strength Certification
✔ Wall Thickness Consistency
✔ Perforation Quality & Manufacturing Precision
✔ Material Traceability & Quality Testing
✔ Technical Design & Site Support

A geocell is not just a product. It is a load-distribution and soil stabilization system that directly impacts the long-term performance of retaining walls, slopes, roads, working platforms, railways, and infrastructure projects.

At Strata Geosystems, these are the same questions we ask ourselves before every project—and they are worth asking every geocell supplier.

Swipe through to see the geocell specification checklist every engineer should review before making a decision.
