Our founder, Walter Landor, had said many decades ago that products are built in the factory and brands are built in the mind. While today the world may have moved beyond manufacturing alone, brand as a construct of perceptions has never been more significant. A brand is a promise. A great brand is a promise kept. Can you define your brand promise succinctly? Is it relevant and diffferentiated for your customers? Do you have a set of versatile brand assets to make the promise? And how are you set up to deliver to promise? Food for thought for all brand owners! Geet Nazir and I touched upon the importance of versatile brand assets at the Waves 2025 conference in Mumbai.

I’m looking forward to my first Jaipur Lit Fest next weekend. Added bonus is that I’m on two panels at the festival this year. One is on creating the foundation for entrpreneurship moderated by Mohit Satyanand in conversation with Tarun Khanna, Naushad Forbes and me. And the second one is a conversation also moderated by Mohit Satyanand with three authours - Pradeep Mehta, Mukesh Sud and me.
