Diversity and Inclusivity Report: Gender in YouTube Advertising - Think with Google 08/03/2020

Siddhi Mehta, Sr. Strategist at Buzzinga Digital, shares her opinion on the diversity and inclusivity report by Google.'' As per Forbes data, a person is exposed to almost 4000-10000 ads a day. The sheer volume makes me question if advertisers are truly shaping & influencing people's views toward different topics/scenarios.

With specific regard to women & their representation in today's ads, the 'Think with Google' data gives me hope.

As an evolving audience, we expect the content we are exposed to, to evolve as well. It's also promising to see women being portrayed in progressive roles in offbeat fields like travel, giving them the credit they deserve. No more are women "supporting cast", we have taken center stage, even in content - be it in its creation, distribution, or visibility.
