The Alpha Women during Krishnadevraya Dynasty (1509 - 1529) In Vijaynagara, Hampi

The empire reached it's zenith during the Krishnadevaraya Dynasty, third ruler of the wealthiest kingdom on the earth during 1509. Women played an important role during that period where they enjoyed ample freedom and their predominant position. Apart from art, literature, astronomy and fine arts women excelled in hunting activities.

The illustration depicts the alpha women visiting the Virupaksha temple for a prayer before harvesting an animal out of respect.
