Whatta decade it has been! 🤭
These stills are from my first ever appearance on Television. It was a 30 sec commercial for and to this day it holds a special place in my heart as the beginning of my professional acting career. It was the first time my relatives and friends called me up to tell me that they saw me on TV. The first time my mom called me up to tell me, she was in a cinema hall in Kerela when my ad aired and she couldn’t be more excited or proud. The first time I took a paycheck home to dad (2 days of shoot as a beginner but it was still good enough to cover my tuition fees for all 3 years in DU.) The first time I stepped on a set, received a standing ovation from the crew and had a personal vanity van with my name on the door! (I was too naive to know what a big deal it was 🙈 I hardly spent time inside of it and didn’t even click a picture because I was too busy “observing” the set and what happened off camera 🤣) My closest friends who I had lost touch with because of my ongoing struggle with addiction saw for the first time that I was capable of being more than a fu**up or the class clown and in all fairness it was the first time I realised that about myself too. 10 years have gone by and everything’s changed around me and actually… so have I, but the one thing that hasn’t changed is the feeling I get when I’m onset. The feeling that I’m doing exactly what I’m supposed to. These past 10 years are proof that I still have a long way to go to mature as an actor and as a human being to realise my true potential but now, I am excited about the coming 10 years. So my friends, If you’ve been with me for the ride, I would like to make a promise to you, “Stay with me, because the best is yet to come.”
This post would be incomplete without thanking and the team for putting their faith in me since 2013 🤗
