According to police reports, Sanchita Ugale, 22, allegedly died by su***de at her home in Sai Santoshi Building in Aachole Village, Nalasopara East. The incident reportedly took place on June 14 between 7 pm and 7:30 pm.

Assistant Police Inspector Vinod Bagh of Achole Police Station stated that the actress had locked herself inside her bedroom and allegedly hanged herself from a ceiling fan using a saree. Family members and local residents later rushed her to Vasai-Virar Municipal Hospital, where doctors declared her dead on arrival.

Following the incident, police reached the location, carried out an inquest and sent the body for post-mortem examination. Authorities have said that a detailed investigation is being conducted from all possible angles. Based on a complaint filed by her father, Machhindra Ugale, Achole Police registered an Accidental Death Report under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita on June 15. Officials have clarified that the exact circumstances behind the incident are yet to be determined and further investigation is underway.
