JD of Network Engineer:

Must have knowledgeof Network Administration, Desktop Support, and Management
Communicate effectively with customers and staff
Team player with superior presentation, interpersonal, and research skills

Basic Function:

Responsible for designing, organizing, modifying, installing, and supporting company's computer systems
Design and installation of LAN, WAN, Internet and intranet systems, and network segments
Maintain computing environment by identifying network requirements
Install upgrades
Monitor network performance

Primary Responsibilities:
Install and support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems
Install and maintain network hardware and software
Analyze and isolate issues
Monitor networks to ensure security and availability to specific users
Evaluate and modify system's performance
Identify user needs
Determine network and system requirements
Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security
Ensure network connectivity is up and company's LAN infrastructure is on par with technical considerations
Design and deploy networks
Perform network address assignment
Assign configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services
Maintain network facilities in individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal computers as well as printers
Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, firewalls, phones, smartphones, software deployment, security updates and patches

Knowledge and Skills:

Certifications: CCNA
Operating Systems: Windows, Linux
Database: Oracle, SQL Server
Systems: Windows, Cisco Systems, UNIX, Linux, Novell
Networking: Switches, Routers, Cables, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, UDP

Educational Qualification: Any IT Graduate
