Building stronger frontline sanitation systems through capacity building.

As the Swachh Knowledge Partner under Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) 2.0, AIILSG successfully conducted seven training programmes for Sanitary Workers and Ward Secretaries across Tiruvuru, Badvel, and Kavali Municipalities in Andhra Pradesh.

The programmes focused on enhancing the capacities of frontline personnel to strengthen urban sanitation and support cleaner, more sustainable cities.

Shri Ravi Ranjan Guru, Deputy Director General, AIILSG, represented the organisation at the World Summit of Regional and Local Leaders, where he addressed three high-level sessions on Climate Finance and Housing and participated in discussions on drafting the Global Framework Agreement between PSI Global and UCLG Global. His participation reaffirmed AIILSGโ€™s commitment to strengthening global partnerships, sustainable urban development, and resilient local governance through active engagement on international platforms.

๐Ÿš€ AIILSG is proud to be awarded the assignment for the Preparation of the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the Development of the Gambhiri River Front in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan.

This project marks another milestone in AIILSG's commitment to sustainable urban planning and infrastructure development. We are grateful to the Municipal Council, Chittorgarh, for their trust and look forward to delivering a comprehensive DPR that supports the creation of a vibrant, resilient, and citizen-centric riverfront.

๐Ÿšฎ Strengthening the Frontline Workforce for Cleaner & Sustainable Cities

Under the Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) 2.0 Capacity Building Initiative, AIILSG successfully conducted five capacity-building training programmes for field workers from Solapur Municipal Corporation and Pune Municipal Corporation, reinforcing the critical role of frontline sanitation personnel in urban service delivery.

๐Ÿ”น Solapur Municipal Corporation: Three training programmes were conducted for 56, 64, and 51 field workers.

๐Ÿ”น Pune Municipal Corporation: Two training programmes were conducted for 70 and 74 field workers at the Vishrambagh Ward Office and Dhole Patil Ward Office, respectively.

The programmes focused on strengthening participants' knowledge and practical skills in:
โ™ป๏ธ Solid Waste Management (SWM)
๐Ÿ’ง Used Water Management (UWM)
๐Ÿ™๏ธ Efficient operational practices for improved urban sanitation

By empowering frontline workers with the latest knowledge and best practices, AIILSG remains committed to supporting Urban Local Bodies in building cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable cities under the vision of Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) 2.0.
