Mindfulness & Nature: Innovative Techniques in Schools

But brain gym activities are very important. Some exercises right in the morning we have. Even in the substitute periods, the teachers are using these, you know, exercises to involve children so that they, again, through, you know, that busy routine of the school, they get a break for the child. And he resets his mind that it calms down. Then mindfulness, then connection with nature. Lot of activities are there which we are doing. When I say connection with nature, again, grounding is very, very important. What we have is that Once a week, the teacher has to take the children out in the ground, under the tree, or do a circle activity, or put their shoes on the grass, running. What I mean to say is connecting with the Mother Earth. Even we have told them, see, what happens is, we can't talk with our peer group, ma'am. We can't talk with our mother. Who can tell this? So what I have told them is, go to a tree, hug a tree, sit and I have told every child of mine, you should have one plant as your friend. go talk to that plant sit under the tree speak you will feel light and you won't believe sir the children are enjoying their coming and sharing their stories We have also started one gratitude journal, I've told
