Merchandise branding helps to emotionally connect people with a brand. It is a way of strengthening the bond with its audience. While designing merchandise, we should consider aesthetic judgment of the brand and its audience.

Think about a product that we have bought or received as a gift at our favourite event. It may not be much different than a cheaper, store-bought one, but to us it is special. It reminds us of that amazing concert and when we wear it, it tells the world our tastes and experiences. Hence, merchandise designing must carry the nature and culture of the event.
