𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗣𝗢 𝗖𝗘𝗢𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿-𝗢𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀

The Covenant Centre for Development (CCD) successfully conducted the Two-Day Applied Thematic Training Programme for CEOs of FPOs on 2nd and 3rd July 2026 at the Centre for Experiencing Socio-Cultural Interaction (CESCI) training centre, Natham, Dindigul district.

The programme brought together CEOs from 10 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) to strengthen their leadership, business knowledge, and institutional management capabilities.

On Day 1, the focus was on strengthening FPO governance and systems with the perspective of increasing the participation of shareholders in the business.

The forenoon session on processes and performance indicators of best-performing FPOs was led by Mr. Ulaganathaji, Director of Sarva Jana Kosh, while the afternoon session on increasing member participation in the business was delivered by Mr. Sakthi Balan A, District Development Manager (DDM), NABARD, Madurai.

The programme was further enriched by CCD Resource Persons – Ms. V.K. Padmavathy, Mr. John Britto, and Mr. Parthasarathi – who co-delivered thematic sessions throughout the day.

A key highlight was the Case Study Interaction, where participants discussed the case study of the FPO promoted under NDDB and explored practical approaches to strengthen farmer-owned institutions through collaborative learning.

The day concluded with active participation and meaningful knowledge exchange, laying a strong foundation for the sessions ahead.
