Campus Times presents the inspiring journey of Aditya Hriday Upadhyay, whose AIR 154 in UPSC 2025 reflects perseverance, discipline, and the power of consistent effort.

Aditya Hriday Upadhyay, an alumnus of Lucknow Public School (C.P. Singh Foundation), Sector I (Batch 2017), secured All India Rank 154 in the Civil Services Examination 2025, bringing pride to Lucknow. Currently serving in the Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax), his achievement highlights consistency and determination, as he succeeded in his fourth attempt after multiple prior selections.

From IIT Excellence to UPSC Success:

A Civil Engineering graduate from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, he was a Department Gold Medalist and Institute Silver Medalist. He began UPSC preparation during the COVID-19 period and refined his strategy through focused answer writing, syllabus mastery, and analysis of previous year questions.

Despite self-doubt and a vast syllabus, he stayed disciplined and balanced—drawing inspiration from Virat Kohli and Novak Djokovic to value consistency above all.

Coming from an academically accomplished family, Aditya credits his school and teachers for building his foundation. While serving in the IRS, his ultimate goal remains the Indian Administrative Service (IAS).
