Why do so many B2B brands sound like they’re writing for a boardroom from 1998?

Every post is packed with corporate jargon, buzzwords, and carefully sanitized language. Everything sounds professional.
And somehow, everything sounds exactly the same.

Here’s the irony:
The people approving enterprise software purchases, signing vendor contracts, and making million-dollar decisions are still people.

They watch Netflix.
Send memes to colleagues.
Have opinions, frustrations, and a limited attention span just like everyone else.
Yet the moment a brand starts communicating with them, the personality disappears.

Somewhere along the way, B2B marketing became convinced that professionalism and humanity were opposites.
They’re not.
The most effective B2B brands don’t talk down to people or hide behind corporate language.
They communicate clearly, sound authentic and understand that trust is built between humans before it’s built between companies.

Your audience may have a job title.
But that’s not their entire identity.
Talk to the person behind it.
That’s usually where attention starts.
