The story of Naihati's Boro Maa begins in the early 1900s when a man named Bhavesh Chakraborty had a dream instructing him to make his family's small Kali idol into a gigantic one, inspired by the large idols he saw in Nabadwip. This "Boro Kali," or "Bhavesh Kali," was initially a private puja within the Chakraborty household, but its growing popularity led to it being opened to the public and renamed "Boro Maa" (Great Mother). Devotees believe she blesses and fulfills the wishes of all people, regardless of their background.

The "adeena mosque" is a typo for Adina Mosque, a historic mosque in Malda, West Bengal, India. It was built in 1369 by Sultan Sikander Shah and is one of the largest mosques ever built in the Indian subcontinent, notable for being the only hypostyle mosque in Bengal.
