The first-ever 16-player Dynamo Chess Tournament is certainly a fruition of that. West Bengal State Senior Open 2022 Runner-up, Arpan Das was paired against GM Dibyendu Barua in the Semifinals of 1st Dynamo Chess Tournament. He got a crushing position. Did he manage to capitalize on his advantage? Find out in this video.

The Quarterfinal Rapid game between Mrittika Mallick and Kaustuv Kundu ended in a draw. Thus, Armageddon was enforced. It was the second-ever Armageddon of the tournament. Kaustuv Kundu once again got the black pieces which means a draw would be enough for him to advance to the Semifinals. For Mrittika, win was the only option to advance.

Time Control: 5 minutes for White vs 4 minutes for Black. No increment for either player.
