যে ছোটবেলা আজও বড় হয়নি, তার সবুজ স্বাদ মডার্নদেরও চোখেমুখে লেগে থাক। যে সহজ পাঠে মন বসেনি, তার সহজ স্মৃতি শহরে ফিরুক। যে কাজললতার কাজল কখনো শুকোয়নি, তার আদরে কাজলাদিদি আবার শোলোক বলুক। যে তালপাতার সেপাইরা হাতে হাতে তিড়িং বিড়িং করতো, তারা আবার হাত ধরুক। যে জীবন আজও মরেনি, সে ধড়মড় করে উঠে বসুক। তাকিয়ে দেখুক, আবার সন্ধের লোডশেডিংয়ে হ্যারিকেনের ছায়াগুলো দুলে দুলে পড়ছে। আবার ঠানদির গলায় রাজকন্যে দত্যিদানোর চোখ ফাঁকি দিয়ে পালাচ্ছে। আবার একটা বাউল বাতাস নতুন ধানের চারাগুলোকে এলোমেলো করে দিয়ে যাচ্ছে। আবার ছেলেবেলায় প্রাণ ফিরছে। আবার ইকির মিকির ফিরছে।

Childhood never ceases to cherish our adult mind. We still indulge in the rhymes of Sahaj Path. We still miss the beloved fragrance of our ever-nostalgic Kajallata. We still love having a couple of Talpatar Sepai, relentlessly jumping in our hands. We still sense a life we die for. It has never been our past. It’s right here and right now. Where the little ones run over the green grass to touch the horizon. Where the teen girls chitchat over the delicious Kuler Achar. Where the mind is without fear. And we name the world ‘Ikir Mikir’.
