Use 'But' as a preposition:

Everyone but John attended the meeting.

জন ছাড়া সবাই মিটিং এ উপস্থিত ছিল।

She likes all vegetables but spinach.

তিনি সব সবজি পছন্দ করেন পালং শাক ছাড়া

I have nothing but gratitude for your help.

আপনার সাহায্যের জন্য আমার কৃতজ্ঞতা ছাড়া আর কিছুই নেই।

They saw no one but the guard at the entrance.

প্রবেশদ্বারে প্রহরী ছাড়া তারা কাউকে দেখতে পায়নি।

All the assignments were completed but one.

একটি ছাড়া সব কাজ সম্পন্ন হয়েছে।

Abandoned- পরিত্যক্ত
This old abandoned house is dangerous
এই পুরোনো পরিত্যক্ত বাড়িটি বিপজ্জনক
Remote - প্রত্যন্ত
It is difficult to reach remote places such as small villages

Abandon - give up a plan or activity
ত্যাগ করা বা ছেড়ে দেওয়া।
Bad weather forced them to abandon the search

Abolish- Remove a law, tradition or system (Do away with)
রদ করে দেওয়া।
In which year was slavery abolished in Europe?
