A serious controversy has emerged from a medical college in Kaushambi, Uttar Pradesh, after a female patient’s private surgery photographs were allegedly leaked and circulated on WhatsApp groups. The 22-year-old woman had reportedly undergone treatment for a medical condition in the gynaecology department when sensitive images from the operation theatre were taken and later shared beyond official medical use. The incident sparked outrage over patient privacy and medical ethics, leading authorities to launch an investigation. Superintendent of Police Satyanarayan Prajapat described the matter as serious and assigned DSP Shivank Singh to investigate the case. Reports suggest the images may have first spread through institutional groups before circulating further. Hospital officials stated that strict action would be taken against anyone found responsible for the leak.
