🚨 Strongly condemn the Patharkandi incident.

It is deeply disturbing to learn that two boys were allegedly assaulted on suspicion of cattle theft while reportedly trying to bring back their own cattle in Patharkandi, Sribhumi District of Assam. Such acts of mob violence have no place in a civilized society.
No allegation or suspicion can justify violence against anyone. The rule of law must prevail, and justice must be delivered through legal institutions,not by mobs.
I urge the authorities to conduct a swift, fair, and transparent investigation and take strict action against all those found responsible.
I also appeal to Patharkandi MLA & Minister Krishnendu Paul to personally intervene in this matter, meet the victims, ensure their family receives all necessary support, and use his position to ensure the administration acts swiftly and justly. The people of Patharkandi expect their elected representative to stand with the vulnerable, not remain silent.
At the same time, I call upon opposition leaders to rise to the occasion, visit the victims, stand beside their families, and fulfill your responsibility as the voice of accountability. Question the administration. Demand answers. That is why you were elected.
