मध्य रेल ने अपने सभी पांच मंडलों और कारखानों में "मिशन-जीरो स्क्रैप स्टेटस" के साथ पर्यावरण संरक्षण में अग्रणी भूमिका निभाई है। इसका उद्देश्य रेलवे स्क्रैप को मूल्यवान राजस्व-सृजन करने वाली संपत्तियों में परिवर्तित करना और संसाधनों का कुशल उपयोग सुनिश्चित करना है।

यह 5 जून 2026 को विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस से पहले हजारों रेलवे अधिकारियों, कर्मचारियों और ठेकेदारों को शामिल करते हुए चलाए गए एक सफल व्यापक पर्यावरण अभियान का भी हिस्सा है।

अप्रैल से मई 2026 की अवधि के दौरान, मध्य रेल ने स्क्रैप की बिक्री से 73.67 करोड़ रुपये का राजस्व सफलतापूर्वक हासिल किया है।
इसमें अप्रैल 2026 के दौरान 34.08 करोड़ रुपये और मई 2026 के दौरान 39.59 करोड़ रुपये का राजस्व शामिल है, जो अप्रैल-मई के लिए अब तक की सबसे अधिक स्क्रैप बिक्री है।

*यह महत्वपूर्ण उपलब्धि विभिन्न श्रेणियों के स्क्रैप और अपशिष्ट पदार्थों के व्यवस्थित निपटान के माध्यम से प्राप्त की गई है, जिनमें शामिल हैं:*
रेलवे स्थायी-मार्ग स्क्रैप: 5926 मीट्रिक टन
लौह स्क्रैप: 6337 मीट्रिक टन अलौह स्क्रैप: 539 मीट्रिक टन स्लीपरस : 26,882 नग
रोलिंग स्टॉक: 3 लोकोमोटिव, 8 कोच और 29 वैगन

मध्य रेल स्टोर्स विभाग ने दूरस्थ और बिखरे हुए स्थानों के साथ-साथ मध्य रेल के सभी पांच मंडलों में पड़े स्क्रैप पदार्थों की पहचान और निपटान के लिए गहन और सुव्यवस्थित अभियान चलाए हैं। इन लक्षित प्रयासों के परिणामस्वरूप बिक्री प्रदर्शन में उल्लेखनीय वृद्धि हुई है।

*अप्रैल से मई 2026 की अवधि के लिए:*
पुणे मंडल ने सबसे अधिक स्क्रैप बिक्री दर्ज करते हुए 15.65 करोड़ रुपये का उच्चतम प्रदर्शन किया है।
इसके बाद नागपुर मंडल 11.77 करोड़ रुपये, परेल कारखाना 11.05 करोड़ रुपये, भुसावल मंडल 8.72 करोड़ रुपये, माटुंगा कारखाना 7.38 करोड़ रुपये, मुंबई मंडल 7.33 करोड़ रुपये, सोलापुर मंडल 4.59 करोड़ रुपये और अन्य उत्पादन इकाइयों का स्थान रहा।

मध्य रेल ने उन संसाधनों के अधिकतम उपयोग पर भी ध्यान केंद्रित किया है जो सक्रिय उपयोग में नहीं थे लेकिन उपयोग योग्य स्थिति में थे। इसी दिशा में, एक रोटेटेक प्रिंटिंग मशीन (चालू स्थिति में, लेकिन उपयोग में नहीं) को स्क्रैप के रूप में चिह्नित करने के बजाय, 8.76 करोड़ रुपये के मूल्य पर नासिक प्रिंटिंग प्रेस को सफलतापूर्वक स्थानांतरित कर दिया गया।

यह पहल कुशल संसाधन उपयोग और विवेकपूर्ण निर्णय लेने के माध्यम से अधिकतम मूल्य प्राप्त करने के लिए मध्य रेल की प्रतिबद्धता को दर्शाती है।

Central Railway takes the lead in Environmental conservation with “Mission- Zero Scrap Status”*:
*Earns Rs.73.67 crores from Sale of Scrap for April & May 2026

Central Railway has taken the lead in environment conservation with “Mission- Zero Scrap Status” across all five divisions and workshops, aimed at converting railway scrap into valuable revenue-generating assets and ensuring efficient resource utilization.
This is also part of a successful comprehensive environmental campaign mobilizing thousands of railway officials, staff and contractors to the run up ahead of the World Environment Day on June 5th 2026.

During the period April to May 2026, Central Railway has successfully achieved scrap sale revenue of Rs.73.67 crores. This includes revenue amounting to Rs.34.08 crores during April 2026 and Rs.39.59 crores during May 2026, which is the highest ever scrap sale figure for April-May.

*This significant achievement has been accomplished through systematic disposal of various categories of scrap and waste materials, including:*
Rail Permanent-Way Scrap:- 5926 Metric Tons
Ferrous Scrap:- 6337 Metric Tons
Non-Ferrous Scrap:- 539 Metric Tons
Sleepers:- 26,882 Nos
Rolling Stock:- 03 Locomotives, 08 Coaches & 29 Wagons

The CR Stores Department has undertaken intensive and well-coordinated drives to identify and dispose of scrap materials lying at remote and scattered locations, as well as across all five divisions of Central Railway. These focused efforts have resulted in a remarkable surge in sales performance.

*For the period April to May 2026:*
Pune division has emerged as the leading performer, recording the highest scrap sale amounting to Rs.15.65 Crores , followed by Nagpur division with Rs.11.77 crores, Parel Workshop with Rs.11.05 crores, Bhusaval division with Rs.8.72 crores, Matunga Workshop with Rs.7.38 crores, Mumbai division with Rs.7.33 crores, Solapur division with Rs.4.59 crores and the rest among other production units.

Central Railway has also focused on the optimal utilisation of resources that were not in active use but remained in serviceable condition. In this direction, a Rotatek Printing Machine (in running condition,but not in use) instead of being marked as scrap, was successfully transferred to the Nasik Printing Press at a value of Rs. 8.76 crore. This initiative highlights Central Railway’s commitment to maximizing value through efficient resource utilisation and prudent decision-making.

These achievements reflect Central Railway’s sustained commitment and resolve to accomplish the Zero Scrap Mission and promote financial prudence, operational efficiency, and environmental sustainability.
