🎭🩸 UPDATE: The new The Mask movie isn't meant to remake the Jim Carrey film.

According to recent comments, Evil Dead Burn director Sébastien Vaniček wants to create a new movie inspired by the original The Mask comics—not a remake or sequel to the 1994 film. 📚🎬

Unlike the family-friendly Jim Carrey version, the original comics are far darker, bloodier, and more violent, offering a completely different take on the character. 💀🔥

No official adaptation has been announced yet, but the idea of a comic-accurate, R-rated The Mask has already sparked plenty of discussion among fans.
