The recent video circulating on social media featuring a JKNC worker making allegations against Mir Sahab is not only totally baseless but also completely unacceptable in a civilized political discourse.
In the realm of public service, it is easy to mistake administrative challenges for a lack of character. However, when it comes to the reputation of Mir Sahab, one must look at the tangible evidence of his conduct since the day he entered politics.
To this date, there is no evidence, record, proof nor anyone had said about his bribery, that he has ever accepted a bribe from any individual or entity. While many enter politics for personal gain, Mir Sahab’s journey has been defined by the opposite.
To champion the cause of his constituency and fight for the rights of his people, he went as far as selling his own father’s land.
This act of liquidating personal family assets to fund a mission for the public good is a rare testament to his commitment it is the mark of a man who gives to the people rather than taking from them.
Distinguishing Failure from Malice
It is a reality of governance that certain works may not be completed on time.
However, work left undone due to unfavorable conditions, bureaucratic hurdles, or regional constraints should not be used as a tool for character assassination. Disappointment in the pace of development is a right of the people, but spreading falsehoods without knowing the truth is a violation of ethics.
The Holy Quran provides clear guidance on this matter:
"O you who have believed, if there comes to you a disobedient one with information, investigate, lest you harm a people out of ignorance and become, over what you have done, regretful."
— Surah Al-Hujurat [49:6]
Furthermore, the weight of making false claims is addressed:
"And those who harm believing men and believing women for [something] other than what they have earned have admitted upon themselves a enormity and manifest sin."
— Surah Al-Ahzab
Before speaking against anyone, we must ask for proof. In the case of Mir Sahab, the evidence shows a man who sacrificed his own inheritance for his people. Let us judge based on truth and evidence, not on rumors born of frustration.
