πββοΈπ Restless Leg Syndrome: Get Relief with These Easy Exercises!
Are you experiencing uncomfortable sensations, pain, or restlessness in your legs at night? You might be dealing with Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS). This condition often causes discomfort when resting or sleeping, leading to poor sleep quality.
Physiotherapist Dr. Pawan Chauhan demonstrates three simple and effective exercises you can do to help manage your symptoms and get a better night's sleep!
3 Exercises for RLS Relief:
Ankle Pumps/Dorsiflexion: Lying on your back, pull your toes toward your body and hold for 10 seconds. Repeat 10-15 times.
Hamstring Stretch (with resistance band): Use a resistance band (or towel) to gently pull your straight leg towards your chest, holding the stretch for 10 seconds. Repeat 10-15 times.
Knee Wedge Position: Lie down with a wedge or pillow underneath your knees for comfortable rest, which can significantly reduce restlessness.
β Did you know? RLS can sometimes be linked to deficiencies like Iron, Thyroid issues, or Diabetes. Consult a doctor for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan!

βοΈπ₯ Hot Pack vs. Cold Pack: When to Use Which? | Physiotherapist Advice
Choosing between a hot pack and a cold pack can be confusing! Watch as Dr. Gopal Gurjar, Physiotherapist, explains the best uses for each to help manage your pain, swelling, and injuries.
Key Takeaways from the Video:
π§ Cold Pack (Ice) is for Acute Conditions: Use it immediately after an injury, for swelling, or after surgery. The cold numbs the area, providing pain relief, and reduces blood flow to minimize swelling and inflammation.
Usage: 3-4 times a day for 10-15 minutes.
π₯ Hot Pack is for Chronic Conditions: Use it for long-standing issues like chronic back pain, knee pain, or cervical pain (neck pain). Heat increases blood flow, which promotes faster healing and recovery.
Usage: 2-3 times a day for 10-15 minutes.
β οΈ DO NOT use either treatment if you have neuropathy (can't feel the temperature), diabetes, blood clots (DVT), or certain allergies.
Always consult with a healthcare professional or physiotherapist for personalized advice.
