Batch 7 of Solar PV Training Concludes at STAR-C, CST
STAR-C, CST has successfully concluded the 7th Batch of its 6-day Solar Training Series on Distributed and Utility-Scale Solar PV, conducted in collaboration with the International Solar Alliance (ISA) and the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources (MoENR).
With the completion of Batch 7, STAR-C has now trained a cumulative total of 138 participants nationwide, including representatives from government agencies, BPC, DGPC, private professionals, and — for the first time — Rigsar Construction Private Limited, marking a significant step in private-sector engagement in Bhutan's solar energy sector.
At the closing session, the President of the College commended STAR-C for its contributions to building Bhutan's solar energy capacity and encouraged the centre to prioritise quality outcomes and work towards industry-aligned certification programmes.
STAR-C also announced its upcoming training tiers — the next phase will focus on Solar PV Design and Simulation for professional engineers, followed by dedicated programmes for policymakers and investors. Stay tuned for formal announcement.
