Vedic Math Workshop
A workshop on Vedic math was conducted in Prestige Institute of Egg. & Science in the dept. of Basic science and humanities on 9th Oct 2012 by Mr. Sanjay Agrawal,a renowned personality in Vedic math,. He has been delivered more than 160 lectures. He explained the students about the tricks which are helpful in solving math's puzzles. Vedic Mathematics is the name given to the ancient system of Indian Mathematics which was rediscovered from the Vedas between 1911 and 1918 by Sri Bharati Krsna Tirthaji (1884-1960). According to his research all of mathematics is based on sixteen Sutras, or word-formulae. For example, 'Vertically and crosswise` is one of these Sutras. These formulae describe the way the mind naturally works and are therefore a great help in directing the student to the appropriate method of solution. Perhaps the most striking feature of the Vedic system is its coherence. Instead of a hotchpotch of unrelated techniques the whole system is beautifully interrelated and unified.

4. Will it support school curriculum?
Ans : The Vedic Maths methods are parallel and supplemental to the school study. It does not confuse the child. Vedic Maths focus is on mastering the core skills that a child needs: to be successful in secondary education and beyond. The course syllabus can be designed dynamically in tandem with the school curriculum. This helps in developing the mental abilities of a child. 3. How effective are Vedic math techniques?
Ans : Multiplication tables up to 5 is sufficient to solve a problem in Vedic Maths. It has the capability of performing multiple operations at one time.Vedic mathematics optimally utilizes both hemi-spheres of the brain is the seat of language and processes in a logical and sequential order, while the right side is visual (spatial), intuitive, random boothing of memory and concentration.
