DB Architect/Lead
• Strong exposure and hands on experience on at least 2 RDMS platforms (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres, Teradata) and one NOSQL platform (Mongo).
• Design solutions to meet agreed business outcomes
• Translate high level business requirements into technology architectures
• Provide input into the Business Case development and pre-sales activities
• Provide - Subject-Matter-Expert- (SME) support to projects and support teams
• Regularly review existing product performance with the business teams to ensure technology products meet business expectations in terms of quality, availability and functionality
• Build and operationalize DB COE and act as a catalyst in driving new know how in the DB technology trends
• Excellent understanding of all analytical functions on SQL
• Strong writing complex transformation logic on SQL.
• Experienced in scripting with Python or/and Unix, Stored Procedures and functions.
• Collaborate with business colleagues to develop and implement processes to improve governance of IT
• Experience in Build, Upgrade and Migration of databases from on-prem to cloud (Public,Private,Hybrid).
• Experience working in public cloud platforms: Azure or Amazon AWS or GCP
• Designing and maintaining of data and database solutions;
• Identify, maintain, and audit database standards, best practices, and processes;
• Performance Tuning and System Optimization.
• Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
• Knowledge and expertise in using different DB migration tools
• Experience in designing a Multi-Cloud environment, leveraging all offering including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS with a focus on compute, storage and network requirements
• Experience in working with database and data workloads such as relational and NoSQL on cloud infrastructure (EC2 & VM) as well as cloud managed services (RDS, DynamoDB, CosmosDB, Aurora)
• Familiarity in all aspects of cloud with a deep emphasis on AWS/Azure Security
• Manage, develop and motivate a team of cross platform DB's
• Familiarity with SDLC (Agile-SCRUM / KANBAN) and DevOps
