When I first heard about 'Vanaspati' prints, I was taken back to my childhood where 'Vanaspati ghee ' (Dalda)was bought in tins, during festival time.
I was also curious, because the print looked like dabu. A conversation with my printer , and this is what I gleaned.
Vanaspati prints are dabu block prints made using multani mitti. Only natural colours are used.

We present to you a limited collection of mul cotton sarees with Vanaspati print- Dabu in body and samples of ajrakh in pallu.
