Windows 10 pre-consumer build leak shows all-new Cortana, Xbox apps and more
While Microsoft is yet to release the final version of Windows 10, a newly leaked build of the operating system gives a sneak peek into what is in store.
A video released by WinBeta showcases the 9901 build of Windows 10, which comes with a number of features that could make it to the final consumer version. As it’s not the final version, many apps are currently broken, but a quick look at the interface shows that it’s a lot cleaner and advanced compared with the earlier builds.
Cortana: The latest build of Windows 10 has a search feature built into the taskbar, which also lets you conduct voice searches using Cortana. While Cortana takes forever to load results in the current build, it is expected to function properly to give you web-based results in the final version.

Contact support: Apart from Cortana, Microsoft has included new apps including one for contacting Microsoft Support directly from your Windows 10 device. With the Microsoft Support app, you can schedule a call or request help via email to troubleshoot your device.
Settings: While the Charms bar is still present on Windows 10, it does not contain the link to the Settings page anymore. Settings are now embedded in the UI and, according to Super Site for Windows, Microsoft may merge PC Settings and the Control Panel into the same UI.

Google Drive gets new features: Search, attachment support in Gmail
Google has announced the latest update for the Drive app for iOS and Android users, to improve the way you work with files saved on the cloud.
With the latest update, Android users can search for files in Drive from the Google app. For example, you could say “OK, Google — search for holiday letter on Drive” to get to your files without opening the app and typing keywords.
iPhone and iPad users can enjoy better integration of Drive with other apps. With the latest update, users can add photos, documents and other stuff to Drive by uploading content from other iOS apps.
Another feature included in the update allows users to access and share custom maps created with Google My Maps. This feature is available to both iOS and Android users.
The Google Drive group on Google Plus states that the Android update will roll out over the next week or so, while the iOS app is already available on the App Store.
In a separate blog post, Google has announced an update that will allow you to send files directly from Google Drive as Gmail attachments. Earlier, you could share files only by sending a link to the file in an email. Files could be accessed only if the receiver had a Gmail account. It also meant that receivers could no longer access old files if they got deleted or were moved to a different location. Now, you can send your non-Google files on Drive by clicking on the ‘Insert as Attachment’ option.
