- A fixed mindset is the idea that our intelligence, character, and creativity are innate and mostly unchangeable. We can grow through gaps in our knowledge or skills if we have a growth mindset.
As an example,
“Someone with a fixed mindset would say, ‘I don’t have a brain for languages,’ while someone with a growth mindset would think that if they’re determined to learn, and work hard, they’ll become better at it.”
With a growth mindset, you’re open to improvement and believe you can only get better and smarter. These are attractive qualities in the workplace. Your mindset can affect everything from how you react to feedback to your willingness to take on new projects to even how you manage employees.

Taking a moment to consider gratitude, it might become apparent how times when you were treated kindly or when you felt incredibly grateful to stand out to you. This might be because witnesses of true kindness and gratitude are few and far between; more likely, it reflects the fact that these virtues have strong, definite impacts on our mental health.
You can transform persistent negative thoughts into positive ones by showing gratitude not only for kindness but for the kindness itself. As you practice gratitude, your outlook on life, the way you perceive and experience even the smallest things, will completely change.
Practicing gratitude has many benefits for one’s mental health and for one’s life in general. The benefits of gratitude include:
* Increased positivity, generosity and forgiveness
* Positive change of perspectives and an increased ability to seek the positive
* Better sleep quality and increased energy
* Improvement of relationships
Gratitude is not difficult to practice so long as you give it the time and energy it deserves.

Take a minute to stop everything you are doing and focus on your breath. Can you still mind?
Sounds simple, right? Chances are if you are like most people you found it challenging to calm your mind for more than a few seconds. However, research suggests this skill may be vital to deal with one of the biggest public health issues facing today's stress. So how can you learn to be calmer, more centered, and less stressed? In recent years, psychologists and physicians have turned to a practice called mindfulness with promising results.
Mindfulness is best thought of as a way of being rather than an activity in and of itself. Almost any activity can be carried out with mindful awareness.
Mindful awareness has three key features:
♦ Purpose
♦ Presence
♦ Acceptance
Mindfulness is a mind-body practice that has been found to benefit both psychological and physical health. The primary psychological change that occurs during mindfulness practice is an increased awareness of thoughts, feelings, and sensations in the present moment. Over time mindfulness
practice can help you to become aware of the space between
noticing experiences and reacting to them by letting you slow down and observe the processes of your mind.
