To make Gajorer Halwa (Carrot Halwa), you'll need:
Ingredients:
- 2 cups grated carrots
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup ghee (clarified butter)
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (cashews, almonds)
- 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
Instructions:
1. Heat ghee in a pan and sauté the grated carrots until they are soft and cooked.
2. Add milk to the carrots and cook until the mixture thickens.
3. Stir in sugar and continue cooking until the sugar dissolves and the mixture thickens further.
4. Add cardamom powder and mix well.
5. In a separate pan, lightly roast the chopped nuts in ghee until golden brown.
6. Add the roasted nuts to the carrot mixture and stir.
7. Cook for a few more minutes until the halwa reaches your desired consistency.
