Our batch this year for the Resting Academy iii. Today is the presentation of their final projects on the rooftop of Pathshala in Dhaka.

It’s always bittersweet saying goodbye, every year it seems to get tougher.

Towards the end of December, as the weather turned, Sarker Protick arrived at the Resting Academy. In his unassuming, but highly insightful way, he examined, picked apart, turned over, and put back together - simplifying to its core- the work done so far. He discussed the residents’ progress and guided it through its paces. His arrival came at a critical juncture and we are so thankful that he could join us.

was here for a week at Resting Academy ii, our brains are successfully re wired and tweaked for disruption.

The week was an intense production of a collaborative work around the village of Makardah. We created sculpture’s, searched for found objects and made eerie collages. The village and the lens it was seen through was fresh and novel. The final output will be due soon. Excited for what’s to come.
