Self inquiry is the beginning of self- knowing. Without knowing yourself, do what you will, there cannot possibly be the state of self- liberation. Self knowing means knowing yourself, knowing every movement of your thought, every feeling, every mood, every reaction. And as you understand all about yourself, there is that emptiness, that silence; and in that emptiness, silence.. wisdom arises.
And the moment the wisdom arises in us, consciousness leaves the seen and settles on the seer. In this state is attained the unwavering flame of self- realization. And this very flame is liberation.

Our opinion about ourself and this world is a barrier for us to understand the reality. To discover the reality, we must first free ourself from our opinions and thoughts. We must, in a way first be in complete darkness of thoughts. It is only when the thought process ceases, when the mind becomes utterly silent, still - that reality is understood and found. And it is the real that brings complete transformation in us, making us completely free from all our miseries and inner- conflicts.
