On the occasion of of the historic of (24th February,1826) , an article penned by me to and as a to the lives and deeds of those souls who fought their last for the existence of Independent from the Burmese agression, was published in today's(8th March,2026) issue of newspaper .

Located at in Morigaon district, , lies the confluence of and , two important rivers of Assam. At this confluence situated the historical site of , a military outpost of soldiers during Ahom reign. The commander of the outpost is known as , who administered Jagi and its surrounding areas and maintained relations with seven tribal chiefs of Morigaon district, known as (Seven Chieftains). Jagi Chowki was an important strategic place for maintaining correspondence to Kingdom, located in present day state.

আহোম ৰাজ্যৰ শেষৰ ফালে #কুৱৈগঞা #বুঢ়াগোহাঁই ফৈদৰ #খুমন ওৰফে নৰনাথ জাগীয়াল গোহাঁই পদত আছিল। পৰৱৰ্তী কালত তেওঁ আৰু তেওঁৰ দুই ভাতৃ #তাবুৰী গোহাঁই আৰু #গেৰেলা গোহাঁই বৰ্তমান কালৰ মৰিগাওঁ নগৰত বাস কৰে। প্ৰাপ্ত তথ্য মতে তেওঁৰ আৰু তেওঁৰ দুই ভাতৃ তাবুৰী গোহাঁই আৰু গেৰেলা গোহাঁই বংশধৰ বৰ্তমান কালৰ মৰিগাওঁ নগৰত বসবাস কৰি আছে।

Towards the end of period, alias Naranath of Kuoigayan Buragohain family held the post of Jagiyal Gohain. He and his two younger brothers,Taburi Gohain and Gerela Gohain later settled at present day Morigaon Town. As per information received, their descendants still live in and around Morigaon Town.

এই সকলো তথ্য আমাৰ " #গগৈসেনাপতি আৰু অন্যান্য বুৰঞ্জী" গ্ৰন্থত উল্লেখ কৰা হৈছে। মাঘ বিহুৰ উৰুকা দিনা জাগীয়াল গোহাঁইৰ অন্যতম বংশধৰ আৰু মৰিগাওঁ নগৰৰ বাসিন্দা শ্ৰী ভদ্ৰ গোহাঁই আৰু তেওঁৰ সহধৰ্মিনী নিৰু বুঢ়াগোহাঁইক লগ কৰি গ্ৰন্থ খনৰ একপি প্ৰদান কৰিলোঁ।

All these details are included in our book "Gogoisenapati". On the day of Uruka, Magh Bihu, we visited one of the descendant of Jagiyal Gohain, Shri BhadraGohain and his wife Niru Buragohain ,resident of Morigaon and handed them one copy of our book.
